Hello!!

Hi there!

I`m a new contributer to the blog.... Indigo! :D
I am 9, and I just got diagnosed. Feb. 12, 2013. They figured out I had diabetes because I was going to the bathroom a lot, I was drinking 5 bottles of water an hour, I was SUPER tired, and I wasn`t being my happy self. I went to the doctors, and they pricked my finger. My blood sugar was like, 369, and I had HUGE keytones. I was sent STRAIGHT to the hospital. I was really happy to be feeling better.

Heres a picture of me!

This is me! :)
So I really have nothing else to say... but bye!!

Very Easy Low Carb Stevia Lemonade Popsicles

Stevia is a healthy sweetener that has no carbs.  That is why I like Stevia Lemonade Popsicles! They are healthy, very-low-carb-popsicles.  Here is how to make them:

Ingredients and tools:

  •  Popsicle Maker
  • Knife
  • Plate or cutting board
  • Cup
  • Liquid Stevia
  • Lemon

Here is a step-to-step photo guide to making Stevia Lemonade Popsicles:

1. Gather your ingredients and tools:

1. Get your lemon and put it on the plate.

2. Cut the lemon in half

3. Squeeze half of the lemon into a cup or a citrus juicer

4. Pour the lemon juice into the cup and add drops of Liquid Stevia to taste

5. Add water to the cup with the lemon and the Stevia

 6.  Stir the mixture and taste.  If it tastes good, proceed onto the next step, if not, add more, lemon juice and/or water and/or liquid stevia.  You have made Stevia Lemonade!

 7. Pour the Stevia Lemonade into the popsicle maker

8. Add popsicle maker tops

9. Put in freezer and let sit until frozen.  This will take a few hours or over night.

Enjoy!  This is a healthy, tasty, very-low-carb-snack!

I do not know the exact carbs for these, but there are very few.

Altruette jewlery - JDRF

Hi everyone! I was recently shopping when I spotted some SUPER cute bracelet charms! Proceeds made by Altruette charms each go to different charities! There is one for the Sea Turtle Conservancy, one to help stop bullying, and one to help find a cure for Type One Diabetes! It is a bracelet charm that looks like a diary and it says that as Type One Diabetics, we have a lot of stories to tell! (which as you all know, is definitely true) :-) Some of the money that is used to buy this charm goes to JDRF; so you can donate and be fashionable at the same time!!!!
Here is a picture of the charm:

ANNNNDDD..... Here is the link for the website: Altruette Charms
That is the link for the girls/tweens/teens (Teeeheeheee) charms
But they also make charms that come in gold and sterling silver for adults and young adults!
Hope you can order these online or find them in a store near you!

JDRF Walks

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that if you want to get involved with JDRF(the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) the annual JDRF walks are a great way to start. JDRF has walks at every chapter. To can find one near you, click here. They are usually 3 miles long, but that depends on what walk you sign up for. You can walk with a team or as an individual walker.
It's a great way to support, fundraise, and have fun at the same time!!!!!
Hope you join JDRF and T1D kids in our fight to find a cure! :-)
