The IBGStar

Hi!
Just an update on some cool diabetes technology! ;-)
The IBGstar is a "device" that you can connect to your ipod, or Iphone.
It's a blood glucose meter that still uses test strips except it's compatible with your electronics!
I think it's a really cool device and if you have a review on it, comment below!

Coco the T1D Disney Monkey!!!!!

Hey everyone!
I just found out some VERY exciting news! It turns out, Disney and Lilly (with the help of type one diabetic Nick Jonas's mom) have created a new disney character! It is a Type One Diabetic Monkey named Coco. Disney and Lilly are using Coco to write books to teach children about Type One! Isn't that awesome! I heard that they have written 2 books so far....
 AND

Me, myself, I am am a HUGE Disney-lover and am SUPER psyched! Apparently, Disney is going to make an area in one of their Disney Parks dedicated to Coco and learning about type ONe Diabetes! I am not exactly sure, but that is a rumor I have heard!

Anyways... so if any of you out there are huge Disney-lovers like me, I hope you are SUPER EXCITED!!!!!
I just wanted to let you all know the great news!

Type One Diabetes

A little bit about Type One Diabetes...

Millions of children around the world have type one diabetes. Type One Diabetes is when your pancreas isn't producing enough insulin to cover for the food that you eat. Type One Diabetics have to prick their fingers, take injections, and monitor themselves and how they're feeling at all times to make sure their blood sugars are in good range.
