Low Carb Week - Day 1: Nuts

Hi!  Monday (today) through Thursday we are going to do Low Carb week.  All of us are going to post about one of our favorite low carb foods.

Day 1: Nuts
I love nuts.  They come in all different kinds, shapes, flavors, and colors.  My favorite is pecans.  Most nuts are low carb, but some are not, so you just have to be careful about what ones you eat.  Here are some ways to eat them:
  • Plain
  • With a sweetner.  Truvia is my favorite low carb sweetner.  If you sprinkle Truvia on top of nuts it adds a sweet flavor. See this blog post for more information about TruviaTruvia Post - Peace. Love. Hope. Diabetes
  • With a nut butter on top (Peanut Butter, Almond Butter, Cashew Butter)

  1. have you tried the Peanut Butter cookie Lara bars? Dates, Peanuts & Salt & it really does just taste like a cookie! :) They are much cheaper at Walmart than target :)
